The Supernatural Girl Is My Daughter

Part 1

A beautiful woman was seen struggling to open the door of a grand bungalow, as the key had rusted a bit. After a few minutes, she finally managed to open the door.

" The house is still new, but why is the door already rusty? " the woman murmured. Meanwhile, three teenage children were unloading suitcases from the car trunk.

" Mum, I need to use the toilet. Where is it? " asked her beautiful and fair-skinned daughter, named Alice May Highmore.

" The toilet is in the kitchen on the left, dear, " the woman replied.

Alice then entered the house, and as soon as she entered, she was startled by an unexpected figure. She screamed in shock and ran out of the house. Her scream caught the attention of her mother and her brothers.

" What's wrong, dear? Why are you screaming? " asked her mother, Giselle Natalia Herrera Marciano.

" Yeah, it's like she saw a ghost or something, " said her brother, Ricky Edward Highmore.

" There's nothing, Mum, " Alice replied, then she said again, " I just saw a lot of cockroaches, it grossed me out. " Alice lied.

" I thought something happened! Come on, Ricky, let's continue, " said their eldest brother, Simon Thomas Highmore, who was carrying their suitcases.

" Damn it, just arrived here and that ghost appeared right away. It's like it doesn't want me to stay here! " Alice muttered to herself as she reentered the house and explored the rooms, searching for the location of the toilet. The house was so big that she had a hard time finding it.

" Mum, whose house did you actually buy? " Ricky asked Giselle, as they were now in the living room.

" This house actually belongs to my cousin, Elista. She didn't want to live here anymore, so she sold it to me. Now, this bungalow is completely ours, " Giselle explained to Ricky.

Alice is now in the toilet, but once again, she starts to feel an unpleasant presence, causing her hair to stand on end. Something is definitely about to happen. Alice opens the tap, but instead of water, blood mixed with live worms comes out, which is extremely disgusting. Once again, Alice is almost startled and wants to scream, but she holds her mouth shut. She doesn't want to disturb her family's peace because of her ability to see astral beings.

" Hey, whoever you are, please don't disturb me and my family! From now on, this house belongs to us, and you have no right to be here!! " Alice says with a little courage and firmness, but suddenly the ladle inside the bathtub is forcefully thrown against the door, causing Alice's bravery to waver. " I'm not afraid of you! " Alice says again, looking around.

" If you're not afraid, then why did you scream earlier? " asks a voice whose whereabouts are unknown.

" I was just startled, and besides, who are you really? Show yourself! " Alice says again.

Then, Alice sees a terrifying figure of a woman with a shattered face, worms coming out of her eye sockets, a nearly severed head, and dried blood on her dirty white clothes. The figure cackles with a chilling laughter. Startled, Alice takes a step back, but unfortunately, luck is not on her side. She trips and falls, her back hitting the ladle that was thrown by the ghost, causing it to break.

" Ouch! " Alice groans, feeling the pain in her back from the broken ladle.

Knock...knock...knock...

The sound of the toilet door being knocked three times indicated that someone was knocking on the toilet door from outside. Alice tried to wake up, hoping it wasn't a ghost trying to prank her again.

" Alice, who are you talking to, sis? " Well, the voice belonged to none other than Simon, Alice's older brother. Alice opened the toilet door and there stood a handsome guy in front of the door.

" I wasn't talking to anyone, you must have misheard, " Alice lied, but it seemed like Simon didn't believe her.

" No, I didn't mishear, my ears still clearly heard you talking to someone! " Simon said, trying to look inside the toilet but there was nothing to be seen. " Did you see a ghost again? " he asked.

" Yes, bro, it bothered me earlier, " Alice honestly admitted. " But promise me you won't tell Mum and Ricky if I get bothered again, " Alice said to Simon, while the guy just nodded and said...

" Come on, hurry up and help us downstairs, " Simon said.

The day was coming to an end, and Alice and her small family were enjoying a dinner of spaghetti cooked by Giselle in the kitchen. The four of them looked very much enjoying the spaghetti as their stomachs were growling, indicating their hunger.

" After this, you all need to go to bed because tomorrow you have to go to school, " Giselle said while chewing her spaghetti.

" But Mum, if we're not at home, who will help you? " Ricky, the most diligent child compared to Simon and Alice, asked.

" Oh, that's not a problem. I can hire a helper. You just need to study hard and be useful, that's all I expect from you, my children, " Giselle replied.

" Alright, Mum, I promise I will study hard and make you proud to have a child like me, " Ricky replied with determination. Giselle smiled sweetly upon hearing her second son's determination.

Alice had finished her dinner, and she was now in her room, getting ready to sleep. However, as she was about to lie down, she accidentally saw the ghost that had bothered her earlier in the day standing near the door, staring at Alice with empty eyes. Due to being too sleepy and tired from doing household chores all day, she chose to ignore the creature and went to sleep, soundly and deeply.

" Tonight, you can sleep peacefully, but starting tomorrow, don't expect to sleep peacefully like this again, " the ghost said with its eerie laughter, but the laughter didn't disturb Alice's sleep at all. In fact, she slept even more soundly and had pleasant dreams. Seeing its 'prey' sleeping peacefully, the ghost quickly vanished into thin air.
