Ups And Downs Of Life Part 3

After having breakfast with her Grandma and Grandpa, Jane is now going to school with her grandpa, they are seen entering the school area. Apart from Jane and Christopher, there were also some students hanging out in the cottage near the school gate, they saw Jane and Christopher walking towards the teacher's office. They are Caleb Trask or more easily called Cal or Cal Trask and his twin brother Aaron Trask and also Aaron Trask's girlfriend, Judy Lewis.  

" Aaron, isn't that Mr Christopher Henderson is it? Why is he here? " Judy Lewis asked. 

" I don't know, but he's with a girl. Who is that girl? " Aaron asked. 

" Ah maybe his granddaughter. " Aaron and Judy who heard Cal's words kept turning towards Cal because all this time Cal had been the quietest person among them and liked to be alone. 

" Perhaps. " Judy replied. 

" Hey I'm about to go to class, do you want to come? " Aaron asked Cal.  

" Go ahead, I'll follow in a moment. " Cal Trask replied. 

" What about you, Judy? " Aaron asked Judy too, Judy immediately got up and took Aaron's hand. The two of them entered the classroom, Cal only saw the lovers making out in front of the crowd. 

Not long after that the bell rang signaling that the time for the morning lesson was about to begin. All the students rushed into their respective classes including Cal Trask who seemed to be walking leisurely without worrying about the teacher who would come in the class first if he's little late. After arriving in class Cal kept to sit in his chair at the very back table, the table next to Cal there was also an empty table that was not occupied by anyone. Not long after that their homeroom teacher named Mrs. Anne entered the class with Christopher and Jane. All the students hurriedly took their seats, meanwhile Cal only saw the girl with Christopher. 

" Good morning students, today we have a new student named Loretta Jane Laney Henderson from Indonesia, from now on she will study in this class, I hope you all can accept and make friends with her well. " Mrs. Anne introduced Jane to all the students in the class. 

" Please find a new chair and table for Loretta. " Mrs. Anne said again.

" Don't call me Loretta, just call me Jane. " Jane said to her teacher. 

" Oh, sorry. " Mrs. Anne apologized. 

" Mrs. Anne, there's no one sitting next to Cal. She can sit there. " Judy Lewis said.  

" Jane, your table is next to Cal. Go sit there.  " Mrs. Anne said, Jane went straight to the table next to Cal and immediately sat there followed by Christopher who approached Jane.  

"Hi Cal " Christopher greets Cal who notices Cal is there. 

" Hi Mr Henderson " Cal answered Christopher's greeting using Christopher's surname. 

" Jane, I'm going home, okay? Study hard here. I'll pick you up home later. " Christopher said to Jane. 

" Alright grandpa, be careful when driving. " Jane said, after that Christopher came out of the classroom and disappeared meaning to go home.  

" Alright students, let's continue yesterday's lesson and open page 15. " All the students opened their books including Jane even though she didn't know anything.

It didn't feel like the four subjects had passed and now Jane was sitting in the canteen enjoying fettuccine alone without being accompanied by anyone who was called a friend. After that Judy, Aaron and Cal came out carrying their own food and sat on chairs not far from Jane, the three of them saw Jane eating alone there. Jane realized she was being watched by them but she just ignored them because she didn't want to get into trouble on her first day of school there. Let her be considered arrogant, she doesn't care about that. 

" Look at that, she's eating alone there. I think she doesn't have any friends here, she must be really awkward eating alone. " Judy said, occasionally glancing over at Jane. 

" Then what do you want to do? Approach her? " Aaron asked. 

" I think so. " Judy immediately got up and went over to Jane, she intended to get acquainted with the beautiful girl. Cal and Aaron just looked at the two of them without saying anything. 

" Hi Jane " Judy started greeting Jane. 

" Hi " Jane replied, although she seemed very careful because she didn't want to make the wrong choice of friends.

" I'm Judy Lewis your classmate, are you alone here? Don't have friends? " Judy asked Jane.

" Yeah I'm alone, and have no friends because I'm new here. " Jane answered Judy's question. 

" Oh I see, then just join me there with my boyfriend. " Judy invites.  

"Oh no, I don't want to bother you. " Jane refused. 

" It's okay, you're not bothering us anyway. There is also Cal, my boyfriend's twin, he doesn't mind if you join.  They also want to get to know you. " Judy said, while Jane looked a little shy. 

" Well if you're shy, let me call them. " Then Judy waved at Aaron and Cal to come over with their food. 

" Cal, come on! " Aaron said as he picked up his and Judy's and went to the table where Jane was sitting, Cal following along. 

" Hi can I join here? " Aaron asked Jane. 

" Yeah " Then Aaron, Judy and Cal sat down and joined Jane.  

" I'm Aaron Trask and this is my twin brother, Cal. " Aaron introduced himself and Cal to Jane.  

" I'm Jane. " Jane said. 

" I know, Mr. Henderson is your grandfather, right? " Aaron asked again, trying to make small talk with Jane. 

" Yes, you know him? " 

" Yeah, he's a close friend of our father. We often go to his house but we have never seen you before. " Aaron said again. 

" Indeed we never met, I used to live in Indonesia with my parents and my older brother but after they divorced I lived at my grandfather's house for a while. My dad went to Germany and worked there, my older brother was continuing his studies in Ireland, while my mom I don't know where she is now. " Jane told the three of them very little about her family.  

" You never contacted her after your parents divorced? " This time it was Judy who asked Jane.  

" Yes, but we lost contact and she just disappeared without telling us. " Jane answered. 

" Oh I'm sorry for asking that. " Judy said.  

" It's okay, no need to apologize. Everyone will definitely ask me that too.  " Jane said. 

" So it's okay if we want to be friends with you? " Judy asked again. 

" Yes it's fine, I also still don't have friends here.  " Jane said.
