Ups And Downs Of Life Part 2

Two weeks have passed

Austin and Eloisa finally legally divorced, all custody of their children, namely Andrew and Jane fell into Austin's hands. Meanwhile Eloisa goes takes herself to a place that neither Jane nor Austin and Andrew know. After the business of selling his house was completed, Austin took Jane back to his home country and here Jane is now, in a restaurant in the middle of the city of Los Angeles, California, United States with her grandparents. 

" Enjoy your meal, Jane. The food here is delicious, I hope you like it. " Said Jane's grandfather Christopher Henderson. Jane just smiled. 

" We'll go out again after eating, okay, buy Jane's school supplies? " Jane's grandmother, Luciana Henderson, said. 

" But Grandma, I still have a lot of school supplies that you bought last week. So that's enough for me. " Jane said, politely refusing her grandparents' gifts. 

" But I want to make you feel happy living with us and happy studying here " Luciana said as she looked into Jane's beautiful blue eyes.

" I'm happy when everyone acts normal with me, I don't like to overdo it. "  Jane said to her grandparents. 

" Oh, I'm sorry if you feel this is too much, we just don't want you to feel sad about your parents' separation. " Luciana said as she touched one of Jane's hands. 

" It's okay, I'm fine. " Jane answered. 

" So starting from today forget all your sorrows and explore this new world. " Her grandfather encouraged Jane, Jane tried to smile even though she felt sore and awkward.  

" You still have a long way to go, sweetie. So go ahead and live your life bravely and patiently despite the many problems that come. Do not give up! " Luciana said again. These encouraging words from her grandparents made Jane touched and felt that there's still loved her.

" Thank you for making me feel like there's still loves me. " Jane said, as her grandfather took a deep breath before starting to speak again. 

" You are our biological granddaughter, of course, we love you like we love other grandchildren. "  

" Grandpa, Grandma, since I came here I haven't bought a SIM card yet. I wanted to buy it and immediately contacted Andrew. I haven't told him yet about my current condition here, I'm sure he's still busy studying to achieve his dream. " Jane said, making small talk with Christopher and Luciana. 

" All right, we'll buy it later. We also haven't seen him for a long time, surely he's getting bigger and smarter now, right? " Christopher said as he sipped a cup of coffee. Jane almost laughed a little when she thought of her older brother studying in Ireland. 

" Yes grandpa, getting bigger and fatter! " Jane joked that Christopher and Luciana laughed.  

After returning home, Jane continues to enter her new room, currently she is daydreaming on the edge of the bedroom window holding a guitar that she bought when she was still living in Indonesia. Her mind drifted away remembering her parents, she really missed her parents, she missed her mother who was nowhere and also her father who no longer lived with her. Poor Jane, she'd never imagined her family would split up like this all this time and she always wondered why it turned out this way? Every night Jane cries and prays for her family to be reunited and live happily under the same roof, but whatever it is, it seems very difficult to happen again.  

" Jane? " Her uncle named Stefan called. 

" Yes uncle, what's wrong? " Jane asked. 

" I just wanted to let you know that I've taken care of all your school registration, the principal said you can go to school the day after tomorrow. So prepare all your school supplies now so that you don't get confused later. " Uncle Stefan said.  

" Alright I'll doing that later, thanks for letting me know.  " Jane answered. 

" Hmm, study hard huh. Follow in the footsteps of your brother who studied far in Ireland to become a useful person to the nation, religion and society. " Uncle Stefan advised Jane.  

" But remember Jane, don't get too carried away with sadness, afraid that its will eat yourself. Not all things in this world can't be handled in a good way. If you're strong, patient and don't give up easily. One day you will find ease and happiness in your life. Take my word Jane, and live with strength and fortitude. " Uncle Stefan gave words of encouragement as well as advice to Jane before the man left.

" I'll take your word for it, Uncle Stefan. Thank you for advising me. "  Jane said slowly after Uncle Stefan left.  

A few days later, now it's time for Jane to enter a new school for the first time, she is very excited and can't wait to see her new school and also get some new friends so that her longing for friends at her old school can be cured. Currently Jane is seen getting ready to wear a blouse that her grandmother just bought a few days ago to wear on the first day of school. 

" Jane, let's have breakfast now before you are late for school, Grandpa will take you to school later, okay?  " Luciana said. 

" Yes Grandma, I'll be down in a moment " Jane answered.  Then she grabbed her bag and immediately went downstairs and headed for the kitchen.

" Good morning Grandma, Grandpa! " Jane says good morning.  

" Good morning, sweetie. " Christopher and Luciana replied to Jane's words in unison. 

" Let's eat, I have make lasagna for you. Your dad said you like lasagna huh? " Luciana asked, Jane just nodded.   

" Give me your plate " Luciana said, Jane gave her plate to Luciana. Luciana put the lasagna onto Jane's plate.  

" Please eat " Luciana said to Jane again, Jane also tasted some of the food although she was a little embarrassed because she was still not used to living with her grandpa and grandma. 

" Where's Uncle Stefan? Has he left for work? " Jane asked. 

" Yes, he left early this morning because he had urgent business in Paso Robles. He won't be home for a few days. " Christopher said.  

" How sweetie? Are you excited to go to school? " Luciana asked, trying to change the topic between Christopher and Jane. Jane smiled slightly. 

" Yes, Grandma, I'm so excited. " Jane said as she tasted the lasagna. 

" Then finish your food quickly. " Christopher said.
