Ups And Downs Of Life Part 1

In a big beautiful and golden house, a teenage girl is seen chatting with her older brother on a social media called skype. The beautiful 17 year old girl is named Loretta Jane Laney Henderson or prefers to be called Jane and her brother named Andrew Davis Henderson who is studying far now. 

" Andrew, when are you coming home? I miss you, you know. It's bad you left me here for a long time. " The girl said to Andrew. 

" I miss you too, but when I finish studying I will go home. We'll be together again like before, I promise. " Andrew said to the blonde beauty. 

" I keep your promise, bro. " Jane said, suddenly heard a noise from outside. Jane and Andrew knew whose voice it was but they could do nothing but listen. 

" I WANT TO GET OUT WITH ANYONE IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, YOU DON'T HAVE TO INTERFERE! YOUR WORK IS JUST COOKING, CLEANING THE HOUSE AND TAKE CARE OF JANE! " A man's voice came from outside Jane's room. Jane who heard was silent, so did Andrew. 

" BUT I'M YOUR WIFE, I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHO YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH AND WHO YOU'RE OUT WITH, I'M TIRED OF MANAGING THIS HOUSEHOLD ALONE! " The shrill voice of a woman who is no less loud than her husband. 

" ALL RIGHT THEN, WE'RE BETTER JUST SEPARATED. I'M ALSO BORED OF LIVING WITH YOU. " Said the man who managed to break Jane's heart as their daughter and maybe that woman too. 

" Sorry, bro, it seems like the situation is no longer possible for us to get together again like before " Jane said to Andrew with almost teary eyes from holding back the tears from falling down her smooth cheeks. 

" Dear Jane, I'm sorry for my inability to do something for you and our family, be patient huh? " Andrew said with the same broken heart as Jane. 

" It's okay bro, just study hard so that you become a successful person. Bro, I'll talk to you later, okay? Cause I wanna go to school. " Jane said. 

" Alright, be careful on the way huh " Andrew replied, then they turned off their conversation and Jane was getting ready to go to school. She came out of her room and looked for where her parents were but all she found was silence, Jane became more and more curious about what had happened after they had fought earlier. Then she looked for where her mother was.

Jane seemed to hear her mother's sobs and she knew where it was coming from. Jane went into the kitchen and she saw her mother sobbing at the dinner table. 

" Mom? What's going on with you? " Jane asked her mother. 

" You heard right? He wants to divorce with me! " Said the mother to Jane.

" I know mom, but please don't get divorced. " Jane asked her mother but her mother did not seem to heed Jane's begging. 

" For what of defending a marriage that has been destroyed, Jane? " Her mother said, occasionally glancing at Jane. 

" But you guys can fix it again right? I don't want you to divorce. I want us to be together like we used to be again to build a happy family. " Jane begged again. She didn't want to see her family break down if her beloved parents had to really get a divorce. 

" Fix for what else? You know I've been trying to save this family all along, but what did I get? Only heartache I get, that bastard has never in the least appreciated my sacrifice for this family, and you don't have to beg me anymore either! " The mother said firmly then she came out of the kitchen leaving only Jane there who still didn't budge, too hard to imagine if her parents really divorced. 

At a famous high school in Jakarta, it looks like there are several students in the classroom. Some of them were playing in class, some were reading books and some were having a makeover (usually girls) meanwhile Jane was putting her books in her bag. 

" Jane, soon our school will offer English olympiad competitions throughout Indonesia, do you want to join or not? If you want, let me tell Mrs. Liz. " said her classmate, Fathir. 

" Sorry, Fathir, I can't give an answer right now. I'll think again, okay? " Jane said. 

" Okay, don't think it too long, huh? " Fathir said while writing the test questions on the blackboard. 

" You have to think fast. " Aliya who is doing a makeover continues Fathir's words. That's Aliya's words actually made all the students in the class laugh. 

" Hey Fathir, what are you doing that? " Donnie asked Fathir, he was confused to see Fathir wrote a math question that should be Mrs. Juwita who wrote, this is actually the dwarf who wrote it. 

" This is homework for all of you. " Fathir said while fixing his round glasses like old man glasses.

" That's for you too! " Jane said, interrupted by the giggling laughter of her classmates. 

" Where exactly is Mrs. Juwita go, Fathir? " Irwan also asked. 

" Mrs. Juwita couldn't come to class today, because there was a sudden meeting with other teachers. " Fathir explained about their teacher who couldn't come to class to his friends. 

It was time to come home from school, Jane hurriedly walked so she could get to her house which was not far from the school. Dunno why she could sense something was happening at her house, she wanted to make sure that nothing happened to her mother who lived alone at home. Now she had arrived home after 40 minutes of walking. Jane saw that in the yard there was her father's car besides her mother's car, suddenly the door was opened from inside the house and Eloisa came out carrying a large suitcase. Jane immediately approached her mother. 

" Mom, where are you going? Why are you carrying a big suitcase? " Jane asked her mother. Silence, her mother even put the big suitcase into the bonnet of the car, meanwhile her father just appeared at the door.

" Mom, where are you going? " Jane asked, this time louder. 

" Jane, come here kiddo " The father called her. 

" No dad! where are you going, mom? What really happened to you guys? " Jane asked, she already felt bad seeing this condition. Something has happened! 

" Answer me!! " Jane asked again, finally Jane couldn't hold back her tears anymore, she felt that her mother would leave her with her father. 

" I'm sorry Jane, I've tried to keep this marriage but I failed. We're already divorced. " Eloisa said while wiping her tears with a tissue. 

" WHAT? THEN WHAT ABOUT ME MOM? WHAT ABOUT ANDREW? IF YOU GET DIVORCED, WHO SHOULD I LIVE WITH?! " Jane asked her parents, she still couldn't believe what her mother said. 

" I'm sorry I can't take care of you anymore, I know this will hurt your heart but I hope you can understand that we all can't live together anymore, stay fine here with your dad. " Eloisa said. 

" Sorry, Jane and I can't live here anymore. " Her father's words managed to make Jane and Eloisa shocked by his statement. What does his mean?
